Ushuaia is the southernmost point in the world

Dahn Yoga meditation offers practitioners a way to find relaxation in any setting, but its benefits are emphasized when one is surrounded by intense natural beauty that provides peace in tranquility. Travelers can find such sites in Ushuaia, Argentina – the southernmost city in the world.

Located in the archipelago of Tierra del Fuego (which consists of both Argentine and Chilean territories), the scenery at this point is majestic and awe-inspiring. The island chain shares its name with a National Park, which features prominent, snow-capped mountains that stand before flowing rivers and streams. There are many hiking trails in this area, allowing visitors to explore the terrain and discover a range of beautiful sights along the way.

Travelers may want to stop at the shores of the Southern Ocean to look out into the vast ultramarine waters while the sand engulfs their toes, or perhaps spend some time doing yoga on the beach.

Those who are interested in the local wildlife should check out the Tierra Mayor Natural Reserve or take a catamaran cruise in the Beagle Channel. The latter excursion is quite interesting, as the body of water is what divides the archipelago from the mainland, lending itself to a variety of animal and marine life.

Explore the Kenyan city of Lamu

There's nothing like traveling the world to help enhance one's personal development. Seeing different areas of the earth, and the fascinating attractions that they hold, can give a person a great deal of perspective and appreciation for life. Those who are considering a trip to Africa may want to head to Kenya to explore the island of Lamu, which is home to some of the "oldest and best-preserved Swahili" architecture in East Africa.

Deemed a World Heritage Site in 2001 by UNESCO, Lamu is an interesting place off the beaten path. While many people enjoy going on a safari when heading to the African country, Lamu provides visitors with an exotic experience, thanks to its diverse population and gorgeous sweeping landscapes.

Because the buildings are built so close to each other, tourists are unable to get to the area by car, further emphasizing the city's medieval roots. It was founded in the 14th century, however, one of the most popular attractions in town is the 19th-century Lamu Fort, a hideout for government officials who were unpopular with locals.

Visitors can also check out the Donkey Sanctuary, as the animals are the most usual form of traffic in Lamu.
