In Italy, the protagonist learns the joys of living life, enjoying food and gelato. In India and Bali, her experiences lead her to discover more spiritual sides of herself while she continues to search for meaning post-divorce.

In the end, Felipe helps her a great deal in the recovery of her trust and faith in love, while her friendships with several women are also instrumental in her path to a more fulfilling existence.
