Stress relief is a common pursuit for many Americans as a result of their stressful, hectic lifestyles. Whether one is an overworked employee or an international pop star, tension and anxiety are experiences that are shared by people from all different walks of life. However, yoga may be a great way for them to improve their health and stay sane at the same time.

Singer Robbie Williams, for example, is one individual who often experiences stress on the job, according to the Daily Mirror. Despite his celebrity status, Williams said that he often experiences stage fright, knowing that the eyes of the world will be on him when he is performing.

In order to relieve some of the pressure, he has taken to an exercise called hot yoga, of which he takes 90-minute sessions two times a week.

"Rob suffers from crippling anxiety and has been worried about the lads' forthcoming concerts," an insider told the news source. "While the others have stuck to the gym or pool, Robbie's been using meditation and yoga to help his stage fright and to keep him sane on tour."

Engaging in the stretches, poses and deep breathing of yoga can help people stay calm under pressure.
