Baseball players practice yoga to improve their game
The self healing practice of Dahn Yoga can benefit everyone from busy moms to stressed workers or professional athletes. By meditating, breathing deeply and performing gentle poses, individuals all over the world have achieved greater mindfulness, strengthened the mind-body connection and regained inner peace, regardless of their level of skill or experience.
According to the Bellingham Herald, members of the Air Force Academy's baseball team are engaging in yoga on a regular basis. The relaxing regimen has helped them remain calm and improve their focus during tough games.

The team's earned run average is significantly better this year, and pitching coach Tim Dixon attributes this to the introduction of yoga in the players' daily routines.
"I try to get them to [concentrate on] texture and little things like that. Put them in a place where they're at peace," he told the news source. "I think it has made the difference. It's the same pitchers. The kids [just] believe in themselves [more]."
Dixon added that mastering the mental side of the game may continue to help the players after baseball, as relaxation can have significant benefits in the long run.
