Yoga instructor seeks to give back to world community through meditation classes

Dahn Yoga exercises have helped people from all over the world strengthen the delicate connection between the mind and the body to achieve optimal health. The peaceful Korean art, which emphasizes relaxation and tranquility, has also offered many practitioners an opportunity to share their love and humane spirit with others.

For example, the Broomfield Enterprise recently reported that yoga instructor George Zarnowski is planning to host a series of meditation workshops in his community. He hopes to raise enough money from these sessions to bolster American Red Cross relief efforts in Japan in the wake of the recent earthquake and tsunami.

"I really would like to contribute back to the local and world community," Zarnowski told the news source. "I wanted to encourage people to contribute, so I thought of this as a way to provide some value to people's contributions."

The natural disaster that struck Japan on March 11 was estimated to be even more damaging than Hurricane Katrina in terms of economic and property loss. According to Zarnowski, encouraging people to meditate and engage in breathing techniques could help provide those who suffered from the earthquake fulfill some of their most basic needs.
