The Healing Power of Rhythm

Brain Wave Vibration is a rhythmical training method; it begins with moving your body to the beat of music, and from there the sensation expands as you find your body’s natural rhythm. In a sense, you could say you are calibrating your brain to get back in sync with your body.

People use rhythm instinctively to help calm their own brain waves. When a baby cries or fusses, what does a mother do? She rocks and gently bounces the baby until the baby quiets down. No one had to teach the mother how to do this; she does so very naturally. Children will also rock and bounce themselves on their own to calm themselves, if the parent is not there.

In Korea, we teach children the do-ri do-ri movement, which is strikingly similar to basic Brain Wave Vibration.

History of humanity

You can see the effect of music throughout the history of humanity. It is an element that appears in every human culture and thus is often called the “universal language.” Music clearly possesses an uncanny ability to transform human consciousness. This is evident in the fact that music is an integral part of virtually every spiritual practice on Earth. It also has the power to transform cultures.

A relatively recent example is rock and roll, which brought dramatic social change with it. At the time, people who supported the status quo reacted strongly against the music, sensing the inherent, almost primal power that it contains. In a wav, Brain Wave Vibration works very similarly to music like this, its rhythms opening the mind to new experiences and ideas.

Ilchi Lee Earth Citizen And Consistent Vibration

It is very important to pay attention to the experience of energy in your body as you practice Brain Wave Vibration. Energy is the real stuff of life, and it is through energy that oneness reveals itself. If you can quiet your mind sufficiently, you will sense this in your body as a subtle but consistent vibration.

If you allow this sensation to expand, you will not sense any end to this energy and you will glimpse the infinite nature of the universe. This greater cosmic energy I call Chun-ji-ki-un, which literally translates as “the circulation of heaven and earth energy.” To connect to this energy is to connect to the ultimate energy pulsing through all of existence—what some may call the Source and others call God.

There is a part of your brain that exists to connect to this energy. You can conceptualize it as a radio receiver picking up invisible messages from the cosmos. When your brain waves are agitated, it is like static interrupting the signal. Please use Brain Wave Vibration as a way to clear out the static and tune in to the greater peace and serenity of the cosmos.

Experiencing Oneness Ilchi Lee Educator

The question then is how to return to this place of oneness. I believe that it is through quieting the mind and the experience of energy that we can return. Brain Wave Vibration can open the door to this possibility because it offers a way to stop the thinking mind, even if only for a few minutes. When you practice well, you will feel a disintegration of the surface of your body. Of course, it is not a literal disintegration—your skin and the rest of your body will remain intact. What you will realize, however, is that you do not end there, that your being goes far beyond the confines of your body. You will experience that directly, not just as an intellectual concept.

I once had a student who was a Buddhist monk. Like most monks, he spent many hours a day meditating, looking for that very state of oneness. He was very distracted, however, because he found that his health began to deteriorate. He could not sleep or sit still for long because of serious kidney problems. He began to practice Brain Wave Vibration and had immediate improvements in his health, and was finally able to focus properly for meditation. He says he now knows what Buddha meant when he said, “Find truth in your body; outside you will not find it in a thousand years.”

Ilchi Lee Sedona Potential For Perfect Joy

Extract from Ilchi Lee Book

I believe these stories are a reflection of the paradise that already lies within the human brain. I am certain that we have the potential for perfect joy and harmony already written into the structure of our brain. So what then is it that keeps us from living accordingly?

In .the Eden story, the first man and woman ate of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. It is significant that knowledge and judgment of right and wrong—ideas created and processed in the prefrontal cortex—were responsible for the downfall of humankind. As soon as we began separating well from evil, we began separating ourselves from one another and the rest of the universe.

While this may seem regrettable, it is also fortunate on many levels. Differentiation separates, but it also provides the chance for reunification. Separation gives us a chance to truly value the experience of oneness, in much the same way that both light and shadow are needed to create the perception of form. If we had simply kept our oneness from the beginning of time, there would have been no chance to choose oneness through our own free will, which is the choice we have to make now.

Awakening the Soul

A dark blue lotus flower represents the sixth Chakra. The role of the sixth Chakra is to combine energy from the lower five Chakras and elevate it to a higher plane. The energy of the sixth Chakra transcends time, integrating past, present, and future into a single moment, the “eternal now.” This is why we refer to it as “The Third Eye.” When the sixth Chakra is open, one may have insight into the nature of time and the universe, heightened instinct, superior insight, and the ability to give tangible form to imagination.

One with an active and functional sixth Chakra immediately sees into the heart of a problem, offering help where it is needed most. With a finger on the pulse of the future, this person will be able to navigate wisely through the present. As Ilchi Lee recommends on the other hand, someone with a weak sixth Chakra lacks a flow of fresh, creative ideas and cannot easily translate ideas into reality.

One often experiences special abilities when the sixth Chakra is active. Just as physical life begins with conception in the womb, spiritual life begins with spiritual conception in the sixth Chakra. When the soul awakens, a human can feel genuine love, mercy, and compassion for the earth and her creatures.

Joong wahn

In words of Ilchi Lee the third Chakra is located straight behind the navel.

When you concentrate, concentrate on the spot two inches above your navel.

Using your fingers, press on the point two inches above your navel, on the point called the Joong-wahn. Now release the pressure of your fingers.

Concentrate on the point just behind them. Feel the beating of your pulse. When you inhale, breath comes in through the Joong-wahn point.

When you exhale, the breath goes out the same way. Observe the organs surrounding the Joong-wahn with your mind’s eye…

The third Chakra connects with the stomach. It also controls the liver, gall bladder and pancreas.
